Taxes and Tuition Credit (T2202A)

Canada Revenue Agency requires the CCHAP to provide a T2202 to all CCHAP students

Important Tax Information for Students

At the Canadian College of Healthcare and Pharmaceutics, we are committed to ensuring that our students have the information they need regarding their T2202A Tuition and Enrolment certificate for tax purposes. The Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) requires us to issue this official income tax receipt to qualifying students who meet the following criteria:

  • Age Requirement: Students must be at least 16 years old or older.
  • Program Enrollment: Students must have been enrolled in a specified educational program as defined by the CRA.
  • Tuition Fees: Students must have paid tuition fees totalling more than $100 for courses taken within the calendar year.

SIN Requirement

Effective January 2020, the CRA mandates that students provide their Social Insurance Number (SIN) to their educational institution. This number will be displayed on your T2202A certificate. Failure to provide your SIN may result in the CRA deeming you ineligible for education tax credits. Please ensure you provide your SIN promptly to avoid any issues.

Accessing Your T2202A Tax Form

Your T2202A tax form for eligible courses taken during the previous calendar year will be available near the end of February. We will send you an email notification with instructions on how to access and download your T2202A form.

Special Note:

To comply with CRA requirements, please submit your SIN by Feb 10, 2025, for the calendar March 2024-Feb 2025. Failure to do so may affect your ability to claim education tax credits.
